Regional Director of Continuous Improvement - Midwest                   

Oversaw 12 reports across six different plants. Managed the improvement of injection molding procedures, instrument panel design for manufacturing, Kaizen projects, design and process failure mode effects analysis and Lean simulations.

 

• Solved complex quality issues relating to multiple variables (humidity, speed, drying time, etc…) for paint line processes, reducing waste by 30% + and thereby saving up to $20M annually.

• Provided detailed analysis supporting the divestiture of the underperforming blow molding business and replacement with higher performing lines, thereby creating more than $10M in combined savings and revenue.

• Lead teams in Breakthrough/Best-In-Class performance improvement on smaller scooped projects, usually within the area of the Black Belt's expertise.

• Act on Statements of Work once the projects are "Identified and Recognized" by the leader.

• Impact Operational Cost and lead projects that meet the minimum economic value required.

• Participate in project progress reviews with Master Black Belts, Champions, and other appropriate leadership levels on at least a monthly basis.

• Effectively work with team membership and secure team member participation.

• Identify barriers to project success and solicit help from champions as needed.

• Train project team members in basic Six Sigma, Lean Techniques, and Problem Solving.

• Mentor and coach project team members.

• Track project performance in CI database to assure timely completion and achievement of quality ant savings goals.

• Complete "Lessons Learned" document and share best practices with other Black Belts.

• Attend required basic training and acquire needed skills.

• Develops, leads, and monitors an approved business plan for implementing Lean Manufacturing within the plant.

• Assists the CI Manager in strategic initiative projects.
